Death sentence and Reincarnation

Today a man who killed a young girl was sentenced to death by the court. The judge told that he deserves death sentence because he didn't show any feeling of repetition nor regret for what he had done.Death sentence is now in Japan controversial issue whether we should terminate it or not.In my opinion, however,he should undergo some corrective treatment at first to see whether it may take effect.THen I think, when it was found not effective,he should be hanged as a last resort.I don't know why the judicial ministry gives up making the effort from the beginning. There is another reason why I'm against hanging him right away.According to the theory of reincarnation ,a bad man who was hanged without repetition will be born again to commit the same crime again. We should improve our society from its root.

Founder of HONDA

Impressive story about Japanese representative company Honda. At the timing when Honda became famous and bigger company, the boss of Honda ,who didn't like even a bit of wrongdoing, carried out one surprising personnel policy. That was laying off his own younger brother whom he cooperated together from that day when they were poor and Honda was only a small company, though off course he was too sad to do so.The reason was that he didn't want to run a family management company in order to avoid even a small bit of unfairness. It can be easily imagined that most of his employees were happy to work under such a generous manager.Since there're more scandals related to corporate management recently,we should learn a lesson from the story of a founder of Honda who contributed worldwide scale.

Fair Trade

Raw material like coffee beans are imported from countries of origin. However, there is a problem that workers engaged in producing coffee beans there suffers from unreasonably low wages though Japan enjoys benefit from such countries by eating various products like coffee and chocolates etc.Now the action is underway to cope with this situation by importing such products with more reasonable price that can enrich native people, that is called the Fair Trade. In Japan expanding gap of wages among employees are now big issue.Howeve, when we look at such global situation,it seems more significant and harder to solve.

Continued from previous posting

How can we slow down the developing pace of our society? The concept "holistic design" should be interpreted in broader meaning and in more humane way as following example. In our hectic IT business,we're ordered never fail to keep the delivery deadline for our customers even by being forced to work through the night. However, when we examine its deadline closely for its being so strict,we sometimes found there is no reason to be so in a hurry. So it's ridiculous that we injure our health by such unreasonably tough work.
When we summarize mentioned above, our society can be compared to a simple expample that we're sitting next to each other and form a circle, then stifling another one's neck sitting on one's right hand. Why can't we ease each of our hand that is holding another's neck and instead give massage to it!.

free MBA extention course

MBA extension course(公開講座) was held at the Dohshisha univ. in Kyoto which I attended last Friday. This course was voluntarily organized by a professor of the univ. free of charge, aimed at bringing various kinds of people together from college students to corporate executives so that occasional students can exchange informations while studying MBA.This time the theme was how to put an idea of business into practice.I had a fruitful time while enjoying academic atmosphere as well.I hope such opportunities will be more provided by other universities so that barriers between company and university will become lowered from grass root standpoint.I was lucky to have happened to find this information through a newspaper ad.
